1166 backpackers opened on 28th October 2010 to make your stay in Nagano as comfortable as possible.
Designers were called in with the first anniversary to produce original TENUGUI.



*TENUGUI is Japanese hand towels.
These cloths used to be an important part of daily life for Japanese people. They are used for a wide range of tasks, for wiping sweat in summer, for headband in autumn festival and as a scarf in winter. Their abundant motifs must be fun just for collecting. It must be helpful during your long journey and will be nice gifts.

Participation in the contest is free of charge, with no restriction for age, education, residence or number of submitted projects. All designers, architects and students are invited.

By taking part in the competitions, the participants agree that their works can be published by the organizers in printed materials, press, Internet without any additional permission from the participants.
